There’s good news for motorcycle enthusiasts. Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson have officially launched their new motorcycle in India. The motorcycle is called the X440 T and is currently the top model in the 440cc range.

This bike had been the subject of much discussion for a long time, and now it has finally been launched. Along with the X440 T, both companies have also introduced their Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) motorcycles to the Indian market. The CVO Street Glide and CVO Road Glide have been brought back as part of the brand’s 2025 lineup. Let’s tell you more about it in detail.

The Harley-Davidson X440 T features new upgrades.

The X440 was launched in July 2023, becoming Harley-Davidson’s most affordable motorcycle at the time. The new X440 T features several updates that make it even more appealing. It includes ride-by-wire technology, also known as an electronic throttle body. For safety, it also offers traction control and the ability to switch the rear wheel ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) on or off.

Riding modes and panic braking alert feature

The motorcycle features different riding modes to suit varying road conditions. Thanks to the electronic throttle body, riders can now choose between two new riding modes: Road and Rain. The rear section and rear subframe have been redesigned, along with updated grab rails, to enhance passenger comfort. Additionally, it features a segment-first panic braking alert system, where all the indicators flash rapidly to warn following vehicles during sudden braking.

Motorcycle price

Harley-Davidson has revised its pricing to make its lineup more accessible to a wider range of customers. The standard X440 motorcycle has seen a significant price reduction of up to ₹25,000. The new Harley-Davidson X440 T top variant is priced at ₹2,79,500 (ex-showroom), while the X440 S base variant is priced at ₹2,54,900 (ex-showroom). The X440 Vivid is priced at ₹2,34,500 (ex-showroom). Bookings for the new range will begin on December 7, 2025. Customers can book the motorcycles through Harley-Davidson and Hero Premia dealerships, as well as on the company’s websites.

72 new changes

Harley-Davidson says they have made a total of 72 minor changes to the bike, including improved wiring, a redesigned fuel tank, updated switchgear with a better feel, and a new exhaust system with a new catalytic converter and heat shield.

Premium CVO Models

The premium CVO (Custom Vehicle Operations) motorcycles will be CBU (completely built unit) imports. Therefore, they will be more expensive in India. The CVO Road Glide has a starting ex-showroom price of ₹67,36,720, while the CVO Street Glide starts at ₹63,03,142 (ex-showroom). Both motorcycles are powered by the Milwaukee-Eight VVT 121 engine, which produces 115 HP and 189 Nm of torque. The Road Glide features the signature Sharknose fairing, while the Street Glide has a Batwing fairing. Both models come with a 12.3-inch TFT screen and exclusive paint options.

Comfort, Ergonomics, and Everyday Usability

In India, buyers are not satisfied with just power and brand name; they also demand comfort and practicality. For the X440 T 2026, the seat height can be designed so that average Indian riders can easily place both feet on the ground.

The riding position can be slightly sporty yet comfortable; neither too leaned forward nor a completely upright cruiser stance, making it suitable for both long rides and daily office commutes. A well-padded, ribbed seat and ergonomically positioned footpegs can further enhance the ride quality.
